Legal Guidance Rooted in Clarity, Compassion, and Respect.
At Payseno Law, estate planning and probate are not treated as cold legal transactions. They are deeply personal decisions about your family, your healthcare, your property, and your final wishes.
We help Oregon individuals and families make clear, legally sound plans for the future with guidance that is professional, approachable, and centered on what matters most to you.
In every matter, the mission is the same: to make the legal process more understandable, more manageable, and more compassionate.
Casey Payseno, J.D.
Meet Casey, founder of Payseno Law.
Casey Payseno was raised in Salem, Oregon and has built his career around helping people navigate important moments with clarity, fairness, and support.
Before becoming an attorney, Casey attended Portland State University, where he earned a B.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice before pursuing a Master’s degree in Education, Leadership, and Policy. He went on to work at PSU for more than a decade, supporting college students and serving in roles that required careful listening, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to helping people move forward.
During his time at PSU, Casey served as Chair of the Student Conduct Committee, working closely with attorneys and professional staff to adjudicate violations of the university’s Code of Student Conduct. That experience reignited his long-standing interest in the law and eventually led him to make a career change at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Casey later graduated from Willamette University College of Law, where he focused his studies on elder law, estate planning, and probate.
Our core beliefs and commitments
Clarity:
You should understand
your options.
Legal planning can feel intimidating, especially when it involves healthcare, death, probate, or aging. We work to explain the process in plain language so you can make decisions with confidence.
Compassion:
You should feel
supported, not judged.
Many people put off estate planning because it feels uncomfortable. Many families enter probate while they are still grieving. Payseno Law meets clients where they are and helps them move forward one step at a time.
Dignity:
Your wishes deserve
to be honored
Your healthcare choices, final wishes, family relationships, and decisions about your property matter. Payseno Law helps turn those wishes into legally sound plans.
Inclusion:
Your plan should reflect your
real life and those you love
Payseno Law is committed to serving Oregon individuals, families, LGBTQ+ clients, and chosen families with care and respect. Estate planning should protect the people and relationships that matter most to you.
Committed to Inclusive Estate Planning for LGBTQ+ Oregonians.
Casey has been a member of OGALLA: Oregon’s LGBTQ+ Bar Association since 2020 and currently serves as the organization’s annual dinner gala vice-chair. His commitment to LGBTQ+ estate planning is both professional and personal, rooted in community involvement and the belief that every person deserves to have their wishes legally protected.
For LGBTQ+ clients, estate planning can be especially important. The people you trust most may include partners, spouses, friends, chosen family, biological relatives, or other loved ones who need to be clearly named and legally empowered.
Payseno Law helps clients create plans that honor their identities, relationships, healthcare choices, and end-of-life wishes. The goal is to make sure your plan reflects your real life, not assumptions about what your family or future should look like.
